Electric Motor Day October 7th – Let's celebrate the invisible hero of everyday life

Today, October 7, we celebrate Electric Motor Day, a day established by ELR.

Did you know that electric motors play a crucial role in industry, healthcare and our homes? They are everywhere around us, and without them much would come to a standstill. They power everything from household appliances, elevators and ventilation systems to trains and electric cars.

On October 7, 1821, Michael Faraday demonstrated how electrical energy could be converted into kinetic energy, a discovery that laid the foundation for the development of electric motors.

So today we pay attention to all the electric motors that spin around us, day in and day out.
