Facts about recycling

ELR and our member companies work to raise awareness that replacing functioning electric motors that are in operation is often a waste of resources. Instead, we encourage our customers to regularly service and refurbish electric motors to make them last longer.

Did you know that a report from the Electrical Apparatus Service Association, EASA, and the Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades, AEMT, states that rewinding performed according to our recommended working methods does not reduce efficiency?

The report was produced by a third-party testing laboratory to determine whether it is possible to repair, including rewinding, motors and maintain efficiency. The study showed that efficiency was maintained or even improved if recommended work practices were used.
